Netzaberg Elementary Students Support Soldiers With Holiday Cards
GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — Students at Netzaberg Elementary School recently shared holiday cheer with soldiers from the 4th Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment by creating and presenting handmade holiday cards during a special seasonal event.
In a heartfelt display of gratitude and kindness, students across the school crafted cards filled with holiday messages for the soldiers. The cards brought smiles and warmth to the recipients, many of whom will spend the holidays away from their families this year.
Several Netzaberg Elementary School students have parents serving in the unit, creating a personal connection with the men and women of the 4th Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment. The project gave students an opportunity to express appreciation, strengthen ties with the military community and spread holiday cheer.
Soldiers expressed sincere gratitude for the cards and messages, sharing that the gesture brightened their day and served as a reminder of the strong support they receive from the community, especially during the holiday season.
The initiative also fostered a sense of unity within the school, reinforcing values of kindness, empathy and service. Students were encouraged to reflect on the importance of military service and the sacrifices made by service members and their families.
