Paratroopers from 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment spent the week at Netzaberg Elementary School supporting the school in various ways. The paratroopers brought enthusiasm, kindness, and positive energy to the classrooms and halls of Netzaberg Elementary.

Throughout the week, the paratroopers interacted with students, emphasizing the importance of working hard in school and putting in the effort to achieve one’s goals. They didn’t just talk about hard work; they demonstrated it through their actions by engaging with students in a variety of meaningful ways.

One of the highlights of the visit was when the paratroopers read to students across all grade levels. From the youngest kindergartners to older elementary students, everyone had the chance to enjoy a good story. The paratroopers took turns going from class to class, reading aloud and sharing the importance of hard work in school.

After their reading sessions, the paratroopers joined students on the playground for recess. They eagerly participated in games, running around and interacting with the kids in a way that built a connection beyond the classroom. Whether it was playing tag, basketball, or simply chatting with students, the paratroopers demonstrated the value of teamwork, fun, and camaraderie. The students loved having the paratroopers as part of their recess activities, making it a day full of laughter and joy.

The paratroopers didn’t just focus on the students—they also took the time to assist teachers with various tasks throughout the day. From helping organize materials to offering a hand with classroom activities, they showed up ready to help wherever they could.

Teachers appreciated the extra support, and the paratroopers’ assistance allowed them to focus more on teaching and engaging with their students. It was a wonderful example of how everyone, regardless of their role, plays an important part in creating a positive and supportive environment.

The entire week was a great opportunity for both the students and the paratroopers to connect, learn, and grow together. For the teachers and staff at Netzaberg Elementary, it was a heartwarming reminder that the community extends beyond the classroom, and that sometimes, the best lessons are taught through actions and shared experiences.
