Dear NES Families,

What an incredible start to the 4th quarter we've had! Our first week back was packed with excitement, energy, and unforgettable moments.
We began the Month of the Military Child with a heartwarming Chalk the Walk event, and our students were welcomed back from Spring Break by real-life heroes—Army Soldiers who greeted them with smiles and high-fives. It was a powerful reminder of the strong military community that surrounds and supports our school.

Career Week was a huge hit! Our students had the opportunity to explore a variety of professions and connect with inspiring individuals, including Army Soldiers, Military Police, the Fire Department, USO, a Veterinarian, Chef, Environmental Division, K9 Unit, Red Cross, Dentists, Family Advocacy, Criminal Investigators, and many more. The kids were buzzing with curiosity and excitement all week long!
Our talented second graders took center stage in the Reader’s Theater Musical, showing off their acting chops and bright personalities. What a show!

And we’re not done yet—join us this Friday at 16:30 in the NES MPR for our much-anticipated Talent Show! It's the perfect way to cap off an action-packed week.

A Friendly Reminder
To help our students stay focused and engaged during the school day, we kindly ask that all phones and smartwatches with phone or internet capabilities remain off and stored in backpacks while in school. Thank you for supporting a distraction-free learning environment!

Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome families back to campus for our Thankful Lunches next week. Please check the flyer below for your student’s grade-specific date and time.

As always, thank you for your continued support and involvement. We’re so grateful to partner with you in making NES such a vibrant, joyful place to learn and grow.

Warmly,
Team NES

Summative Testing for 3rd – 5th Grade Students

Summative testing is just around the corner, and we want to ensure that our 3rd – 5th grade students are set up for success! These assessments provide valuable insight into student growth and learning, and we appreciate your support in helping them do their very best.

🔹 Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 AM, so please make sure your child arrives on time each day.
🔹 We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling any appointments on testing days to ensure students can fully focus without interruptions.

A good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a little encouragement can go a long way!  Remind your child that this is their chance to show all the amazing things they have learned. We believe in them, and we know they will do great!
