Netzaberg Elementary School Newsletter

Dear Dragon Families,
What a rolling good time we’ve had—literally! It’s been yet another fantastic week at Netzaberg Elementary, bursting with energy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From the Disco Roller Rink Week with the ever-spirited Coach Gray (cue the glitter and grooves!) to the high-flying fun of the 5th Grade Egg Drop, our halls have been buzzing with excitement and innovation. Meanwhile, our 1st graders shared sweet moments and sweeter treats during Cookies with Caregivers, reminding us all of the joy in simple connections. And that’s just scratching the surface—so much more has happened that we could fill a whole scrapbook!
As hard as it is to believe, we’re down to just 26 school days left in this amazing school year. Let’s make each one count, filled with growth, celebration, and maybe a little more glitter (because why not?).
With gratitude,
The Netzaberg Elementary Team

Summative Testing for 3rd – 5th Grade Students
Summative testing is just around the corner, and we want to ensure that our 3rd – 5th grade students are set up for success! These assessments provide valuable insight into student growth and learning, and we appreciate your support in helping them do their very best.
🔹 Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 AM, so please make sure your child arrives on time each day.
🔹 We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling any appointments on testing days to ensure students can fully focus without interruptions.
A good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a little encouragement can go a long way! Remind your child that this is their chance to show all the amazing things they have learned. We believe in them, and we know they will do great!
Counselor's Corner

Let’s thrive together as we countdown to SUMMER 2025!
Families, teachers, and students can dress up or do one of the following fun activities to count our way to summer! You are welcome to join us as we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month and the END of THE SCHOOL YEAR!
Starting this Friday, May 2nd, there will be 26 school days left of school!
May is also a time to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health conditions, as well as highlighting the ways how mental illness and addiction can affect all of us. This is a time to practice self-care~
“True self-care refers to the choices we make that enhance our mental and physical health. Good sleep hygiene, good nutrition, exercise, adequate hydration, etc. are all essential building blocks of staying well. We often engage in activities such as shopping, indulging in treats, binge watching movies or playing games on electronics and consider this to be self-care. These activities may provide a temporary escape, but they can be a slippery, addictive slope that doesn’t contribute to our goal of being healthy and well. It’s important to limit these activities or even eliminate them completely if they are a crutch rather than something that helps us grow and thrive”
