Groundhog Day isn’t just about waiting for a furry little critter to predict the weather—it’s also an excellent opportunity to teach young students about traditions, seasons, and making predictions. Earlier this month, at Netzaberg Elementary, third-grade students had a blast learning all about this tradition while making predictions of their own.

A new club at Netzaberg Elementary is putting safety first with the launch of its Safety Patrol program. Comprised of students in grades 2 through 5, the club was created by students who expressed a strong desire to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone at the school.

As a teacher, there are moments that stand out, and watching my fifth graders, Colt N. and Jeb A., dive into a STEAM challenge is one of those moments. These two exceptional students are making waves in the world of robotics, combining programming, engineering, and design to create a robot aimed at assisting marine biologists with tasks like tracking a large school of fish.

Netzaberg Elementary School recently transformed into a lively celebration as students took part in the annual Fasching Day Parade. The event, a cherished German tradition, was made possible through the collaboration of Host Nation and Special Area educators, bringing cultural enrichment and excitement to the entire school community.

Paratroopers from 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment spent the week at Netzaberg Elementary School supporting the school in various ways. The paratroopers brought enthusiasm, kindness, and positive energy to the classrooms and halls of Netzaberg Elementary.

The Big Top recently came alive at Netzaberg Elementary as the Zirkus Club put on an unforgettable performance that had the audience on the edge of their seats. The show featured a wide range of acts including acrobatics, silks, wheels, juggling, clowns, and even a live rock band. It was an evening to remember, with each act more awe-inspiring than the last.

Fifth-grade students at Netzaberg Elementary School recently held their much-anticipated annual Egg Drop event, blending fun with hands-on learning. The event, a key part of the fifth-grade science curriculum, challenged students to apply critical thinking while engaging in practical problem-solving.

Third-grade students at Netzaberg Elementary School recently turned their classrooms into a bustling marketplace during the school’s annual Economy Fair, a hands-on event designed to bring economic principles to life.

First graders at Netzaberg Elementary School wrapped up their science unit on air and weather with a special visit from U.S. Army Paratroopers assigned to the 4th Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
